Walking the Burren
Guided walks endeavour to promote a
greater appreciation of the Burren - Ireland’s most precious landscape.
They celebrate the floral diversity, extraordinary archaeological wealth
and unique agricultural system of the Burren. Groups are deliberately
small in number in order to make as low an impact as possible on the
terrain. They are also committed to best conservation principles and
believe that the region is best appreciated on foot at a natural rhythm
in the company of an expert local guide.

Bunratty Medieval Banquet
Bunratty Castle, was built in the 15th century by the Earl of Thomond and
stands on the banks of the Rathy River. From here The Earl ruled over his
Chiefdom and entertained lavishly, in fact he was famous for his
hospitality. Following this tradition of hospitality, the world renowned
Bunratty Medieval Banquet is held twice nightly throughout the year. For
over 40 years the Ladies of the Castle, aided and abetted by the Earl's
Butler, have welcomed guests from the four corners of the globe to join
them at The Earl's Banquet. The entertainment provided by the superb
Bunratty Singers is a fitting compliment to a four course meal, a lively
meal reception and of course good wine. |

Traditional Irish Music
Any visit to Ireland is incomplete if you do not experience a traditional
Irish music session. The art of Irish music has been handed down over the
centuries from family to family and it is very strong in the Shannon
Region, and in County Clare in particular, the so-called Home of Irish
Traditional Music. Traditional groups play in hundreds of pubs throughout
the year, and the festival calendar has a wide range of Fleadhs (music
festivals) to choose from. |
